Small Business and Vendor Meetings/Seminars

Intergy will participate in four vendor meetings/seminars and eight small business meetings/seminars. The purpose of these meetings will be to disseminate energy efficiency information, inform businesses and residents about local utility programs, and answer any energy efficiency related questions. Where appropriate, Intergy will team up with local entities.

Current Status

Current Status As of 09/26/05, seven business seminars and three vendor seminars have been successfully completed.

Business Presentation 1 - On 03/25/04, Intergy staff participated in the Tracy Chamber Small Business meeting. This was held at the El Castillo restaurant in Tracy. There were over 30 local businesses that attended the event.

Business Presentation 2 - On 08/11/04, Intergy staff coordinated the Manteca Small Business meeting. This was held at the Chamber offices. There were over 25 local businesses that attended the event. This event was featured prominently in the August 23rd issues of the local newspaper, Manteca Bulletin.

Business Presentation 3 - On 10/14/04, Intergy presented to the San Joaquin County Economic Committee Meeting. This presentation had a great impact as it facilitated greater coordination with the local governments and other civic organizations.

Business Presentation 4 - On 01/26/05, Intergy hosted the Manteca Quarterly Lunch. This gathering of about 26 participants provided an ideal chance to educate local businesses on energy efficiency. Technologies, incentive program, and other resources were discussed. A question and answer session ended the lunch.

Business Presentation 5 - On 05/25/05, Intergy hosted a lunch at the Tracy Chamber of Commerce. The primary attendees were from Concilio Calworks, an organization that services low income residents. The discussion was tailored to the needs of the low income participants.

Business Presentation 6 - On 08/18/05, Intergy was invited to attend a San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Evening Mixer. This gathering of about 30 members provided an ideal chance to educate local businesses on energy efficiency. We discussed technologies, incentive program, and other resources individually with a many of the attendees.

Business Presentation 7 - On 08/31/05, Intergy hosted a Manteca Chamber Morning Coffee. This gathering of about 24 members provided a good opportunity to provide information to local businesses on energy efficiency. We discussed energy efficiency incentive programs, technologies and other resources. A short question and answer session ended the meeting.

Business Presentation 8 - On October 19, Intergy sponsored a Lathrop Chamber Evening Mixer. Approximately 16 members were in attendance to listen to a short speech on energy efficiency technologies and rebate programs. The speech highlighted the need for energy efficiency in light of dramatically increasing natural gas prices. A short question and answer session ended the meeting.

Vendor Seminar 1 - On 09/14/04, Intergy hosted a vendor seminar at the Tracy Chamber of Commerce. Local vendors were given a presentation on energy efficient measures and findings from our energy audits were discussed. Intergy followed up with all vendors in person and will provide contacts for customers that might benefit from equipment upgrades. A hot breakfast and cordless drill kit raffle encouraged participation.

Vendor Seminar 2 - 10/14/04, Intergy gathered with vendors at the Manteca Chamber of Commerce to discuss current incentive programs. Over the course of the next month, Intergy followed up with several Tracy vendors to encourage audit customer contact related to potential energy saving projects. At all seminars, we gather feedback on the impact of various incentive programs and encourage their use.

Vendor Seminar 3 - From June 24 to June 27 2005 Intergy met with different vendors to discuss energy efficiency programs and technologies. These included electricians, window specialists, sellers of energy efficient technologies, lighting product retailers, and building project managers. The discussions were designed to facilitate interest in energy efficient technologies and to create and maintain connections for the continuation of the Energy IQ program for the 2006-2008 program phase.

Vendor Seminar 4 - From August 23 to September 30 2005 Intergy met with different vendors to discuss energy efficiency programs and technologies. These included window specialists, sellers of energy efficient technologies, neon and LED manufacturers, and air conditioning specialists. The discussions were designed to increase interest and knowledge of energy efficient technologies and to create and maintain connections for the continuation of the Energy IQ program for the 2006-2008 program phase.
