Building Envelope

Reflective Window FilmReflective Window Film

Reflective window films reduce energy usage by keeping the Sun's thermal radiation outside your facility due to their reflective properties. Window films are multilayer assemblies of coatings and polyester films. Current products are highly scratch-resistant, have excellent clarity, have long lasting adhesives, and generally hold up for 5 to 15 years. Additionally, they block UV radiation to protect carpets and furnishings from fading and eliminate glare and hot spots for your occupants.

Benefits include:

  • Maximum heat rejection is achieved at outmost surface
  • Substantial savings on air-conditioning
  • Reduced load on air-conditioning
  • Reduce 'greenhouse gas' emissions and
  • Reduced solar gain aids compliance with building regulations.
Reflective or tinted films can be applied to sealed double glazed units and tinted glass without causing thermal fracture.

Cool RoofCool Roof

Cool roofs are good for your bottom line, good for your building, and good for the environment. By reducing typical roof surface temperatures by 50ºF or more, cool roofs provide a number of immediate and long-term potential benefits such as:

  • Lower utility bills for air conditioning
  • Down-sized air conditioning systems
  • Lower roof maintenance costs and longer roof life
  • Greater occupant comfort
  • Economical solution to meet new building codes and
  • Reduced heat island effects in your community.
The Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC), www.coolroofs.org, is the premier association focused on implementing and communicating a fair, accurate, and credible radiative energy performance rating system for roof surfaces. CRRC's approach complements other programs, such as EPA's EnergyStar ® Program, that set minimum performance thresholds. As a part of local and regional efforts, implementation of cool roofing on a wide scale promises to reduce the urban heat island phenomenon by lowering ambient temperatures by several degrees, which makes life better for all.
