Pomona Energy Efficient Program - Retrofits
Using the funding from this Program, the City has completed energy efficient retrofits for city facilities to reduce energy usage. The retrofits include high efficiency lighting such as T8 lights, premium efficiency HVAC units, and LED Pedestrian Indicators.
The current effort is lighting and HVAC projects completed at seven fire stations and five police facilities. These cost-effective measures include:- Lighting Retrofits-T8 and compact fluorescent (CFLs) lighting upgrades
- Occupancy Sensors to control lights automatically
- Premium Efficiency Air Conditioner Units
Besides upgrading the fire and police facilities, the City of Pomona has converted the existing incandescent pedestrian indicators to state of the art LED indicators. Along with lower energy consumption, these units reduce maintenance costs.
