Energy Audits for Small Businesses in San Joaquin County
Summary of Task
The San Joaquin Energy IQ Program will provide free detailed energy audits to 566 small businesses in San Joaquin County. Each audit consists of experienced Intergy staff conducting a site visit, collecting relevant equipment data, analyzing the data, and providing a complete audit report. The complete audit report will consist of the following information:
- Summary of energy efficiency recommendations - broken up by those that are no cost and those that need investment
- Payback periods for each of the recommendations
- Description of the technology for each of the recommendations
- Information about local rebate programs for each of the recommendations
- Information about how to purchase the equipment being recommended
- Guide to choosing the right contractor
- Guide to perform Quality Control on the Energy Efficiency project

 Instead of the regular process of just providing the customer with an audit report, the Intergy Energy Auditor delivers the report to the small businesses through a complete meeting - in which each of the recommendations was discussed, questions answered, and content of the report was discussed. This ensures that the customer fully understands the audit report and the various resources available to them.
