Energy efficiency information brochures
Summary of Task
There will be four phases of development and distribution of Energy Efficiency brochures. This information will be distributed utilizing local entities. Each phase will consist of a total of 58,000 brochures. 42,000 brochures will be targeted to the residential community in San Joaquin County. 11,000 brochures will be targeted to the Spanish speaking audiences in San Joaquin County. 5,000 brochures will be targeted to small businesses in San Joaquin County.

Current Status
Phase I, Summer 2004
Phase I of the Energy Efficiency Informational brochures was completed 08/31/04. This was achieved in coordination with Tracy, Manteca, San Joaquin County, Tracy Chamber of Commerce, Manteca Chamber of Commerce and other local entities. The residential energy efficiency brochures were primarily distributed through the Tracy Press, Tracy City Newsletter, and Tracy City Hall. The Spanish brochure was primarily distributed through El Concilio, the premier local Hispanic Non Profit organization. These brochures are being handed out personally by the El Concilio staff to visitors to their office - thus significantly improving its acceptance and readability. The business brochures were mailed to local businesses, and distributed through the Tracy and Manteca Chambers of Commerce. PDFs of the brochures are linked below:

Phase II, Winter 2004-2005
Phase II of the Energy Efficiency Informational brochures was completed 01/18/2005. Distribution was coordinated with Tracy, Manteca, San Joaquin County, Tracy Chamber of Commerce, Manteca Chamber of Commerce, and other local entities. The residential energy efficiency brochures were distributed through the Manteca utility bill mailing, Manteca Bulletin, Tracy Press, and Tracy City Hall. The Spanish brochures were again distributed through El Concilio as in Phase I. The business brochures were distributed through direct mail, the Tracy and Manteca Chambers of Commerce. Phase III, Summer 2005
We have completed delivery of almost 11,000 Spanish language brochures through El Concilio, a non-profit providing assistance to low-income residents. The English language brochures were distributed through the Tracy Press, the Manteca Bulletin, the billing departments of Tracy and Manteca, as well as the Chambers of Commerce for Tracy and Manteca. The business brochures were directly mailed to almost 4,000 businesses in the county.

Phase IV, Fall 2005
We have printed the brochures and are currently coordinating delivery. The residential energy efficiency brochures were distributed through the Manteca utility bill mailing, Manteca Bulletin, Manteca Chamber of Commerce, and El Concilio. The non-residential brochures have been distributed through the Tracy and Manteca City Halls, the Tracy Chamber of Commerce, and a local direct mail company.
