Bergman and Okoro join Intergy, Dublin energy firm

Dublin-Two new senior engineers, one with an extensive background in nuclear and solar-thermal power generation, the other with an expertise in commissioning and retro commissioning—the optimization of mechanical systems—is joining Intergy. Both engineers will be senior program managers for the rapidly growing Dublin-based energy efficiency firm.

Brad Bergman has extensive experience as an engineer and IT manager, including four years with Sunray Energy and six years with the U.S. Navy. Sunray is a large solar-thermal power generator in Southern California, and Bergman’s was the plant engineer and IT manger. His work ranged from analyzing performance data to technical development of plant engineering processes. He also provided technical guidance for plant operations and maintenance and the diagnostic of plant equipment. With the Navy, Bergman was a radiological controls maintenance supervisor and earlier an engineering laboratory technician/machinist’s mate on board a nuclear-powered submarine. His education includes mechanical engineering, information technology and business management. His degree is from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and advance certificates with the U.S. Navy. Additionally, he has a bachelor’s in science degree in information technology from the University of Phoenix and is currently completing a MBA in technology management from the same university.

Uzoma Okoro, most recently worked for EYP Mission Critical Facilities in San Francisco, as a mechanical commissioning engineer. Okoro worked with a special team of engineers, building owners and independent contractors who provided quality assurance to critical electrical and mechanical devices. He specialized in data centers, fabrication plants, hospitals and similar sophisticated installations. As a commissioning engineer, Okoro ensured that mechanical machineries and adjoining systems worked according to the design specifications. Okoro was part of the team that provided commissioning for the huge new Microsoft server installation in Washington. He also worked as a building engineer, and was a first class engineer for California State University Maritime in Vallejo, working on the Golden Bear Training Ship. He has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from California State University Maritime.

Both Okoro and Bergman will contribute to Intergy’s effort to build its commissioning and retro-commissioning expertise.
